Since a retired Boeing 727 first landed in our canopy, Hotel Costa Verde has kept growing what is likely the world's only true airplane hotel — each fuselage rescued, restored, and reimagined as private suites above the rainforest, 100 meters from the Pacific Ocean and the edge of Manuel Antonio National Park. The original 727 fuselage suite that started Costa Rica's only true airplane hotel — two bedrooms, a full kitchen, and a private balcony framing the canopy of Manuel Antonio National Park. The balcony soak tub fits up to six, and families with children are welcome.

Reached across a private forest suspension bridge, this intimate fuselage bungalow is built for couples — Costa Rican teak panelling, a full kitchen, a soak tub, and wide Pacific views. Maximum 2 guests, with one child allowed per booking.

Set deep in the emerald forest in complete privacy, Cockpit Cabana is built from the same converted MD-82 fuselage as Skyloft — two queen beds, a full kitchen, a restored flight deck, and ocean views. This suite is reserved for adults and teens; no guests under 17.

Where is the airplane hotel located?
Hotel Costa Verde's airplane hotel is in Manuel Antonio, Quepos, on Costa Rica's central Pacific coast, right at the edge of Manuel Antonio National Park. It's about a 3-hour drive from San José's international airport (SJO), or a 20-minute domestic flight into Quepos followed by a short 10–15 minute transfer.
Can I visit the airplane suites without staying at the hotel?
No — the aircraft suites are located inside Hotel Costa Verde, which is private property. Only registered hotel guests are admitted to see or visit them.
Is the Boeing 727 a real airplane?
Yes. The 727 Fuselage Home is a genuine retired Boeing 727 that once flew as a commercial airliner for Avianca, hoisted into the jungle canopy and converted into a fully equipped suite — not a replica or a themed room built to look like one.
